Vocation comes from a Latin word which means "to call."

We are all called to serve, using the gifts which God has given us. It doesn’t matter your job – you are valuable, you are called to do work in the kingdom of God. No one is more important that any one else!

Each person is set apart for a specific purpose using the talents that come naturally to them. So, what are your gifts? How can you use them for the glory of God?

"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone." - 1 Corinthians 12:4-6

Volunteers are essential to our church!

Without you, your talents, gifts, and abilities, nothing can be accomplished. And we are beyond grateful for each and every one of you. While it may seem that since we cannot accomplish things without you, we need you, it’s really quite different. It’s so much more than that.

We want you to experience the joy of giving your time, seeing the difference you make in our congregation and in our community. God as has given all of us gifts, abilities to be used within His body, for His glory. In fact, he commands it.

"Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received." -- 1 Peter 4:10

You may be asking yourself, “but how do I know what gifts I have received?”

No worries, we got you covered there too.

Here’s a link to take a Spiritual Gifts Test. Be honest and true to who you are, not who you want to be or think you should be. Use this to assess where you are designed to be in the Body of Christ.

Got your results, but not sure what to do with them?

We can help! Email us (gcholycross@cltcomm.net) your results. We’ll take a look at them and give you a list of volunteer roles that may best fit your gifts.
